no desktop when installing windows7 solved
Here is the issue: When I am trying to help someone to reinstall wondows7 on a TOSHIBA laptop, I can not get into the GUI interface, no matter with windows PE, USB disk created by universal USB installer or windows 7 DVD download tool which is released by microsoft.
After all these failed, I turn to ubuntu. I plug in my USB disk with ubuntu 12.04 inside, press F12 when booting, and I finally can have my desktop where I can browe all files on the hard drive. I had to erase the system partition when the attempt to check and repair the possible error in system partition failed me.
Then all things go as expected, so you see, that is one reason to learn linux :-) -
